Nicole

Im not a soppy person so don’t expect that type of write up from me haha.

Nick and I met in 2005. Those of you who know me well enough, know how I battled to talk to boys when I was younger and I avoided Nick completely. The day we met we both immediately shared our interest for technology and I remember us talking about cellphones. He went on to put down the new Samsung D500. I then proudly pulled out my Samsung D500 much to his embarrassment. The evening ended with Nick and his brother Wayne adding his number onto my phone.

I avoided him completely for sometime after that but after awhile we eventually became friends over Mxit. I was in matric at the time and the friendship was awkward with me not knowing how to talk to boys and my focus on studies. But we found out we had a lot in common, particularly with our interest in technology which has continued throughout our relationship.

Nick and I based our relationship on friendship, trust and finding middle ground. Having known each other for 11 years we know that without those qualities the rest is hopeless.

We are looking forward to spending the rest of our lives together and are eternally grateful for our families that have made us who we are today and we would be nothing without. Family always comes first to both of us.

For each of you that have played a role and impacted our lives in anyway, we appreciate it and look forward to spending our day with you as the start of our future.

Wow! I have known Nicole for 11 years. Where do I start…

So I met Nicole on Saturday, 24 September 2005 at a birthday party. Our common interest in technology attracted me to her. I remember her losing an earring that night because she was running away from a cockroach that flew inside. At the end of the evening I gave her my number. For some reason I didn’t have my cellphone so I couldn’t get her number. She eventually contacted me and we have never stopped chatting.

We officially started dating in January 2006. We attended her Varsity College dance that year.

In 2007 I had the opportunity to travel overseas for the first time with Nicole and her family. We had an amazing holiday in America and the Caribbean. My MySpace page still says that I haven’t been overseas – no longer true. Now and then Nicole reminds me to update my page. One day I will definitely update it 😉

Nicole and I have grown so much together over the past 11 years. We know each other quite well. We often say things that lead us to say these words “We think alike”. We really do think alike 🙂 Nicole and I love travelling overseas. We’ve had the opportunity to see most of Europe together.

We treasure our families, especially our parents who have always been very supportive in our relationship. Our parents have raised us to be the people we are today. I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with Nicole. We look forward to seeing you on our wedding day.
